An Evening of Caroling in Longview

Christmas Caroling

It takes a true Scrooge to not enjoy being visited by carolers. Caroling is able to put even the grumpiest of people in the spirit of Christmas. If you have never been caroling before then now is the time to go. There is a group going in Marshall, Texas, and it is a great opportunity to show people the joy of Christmas. Be sure to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity.

A Great Caroling Opportunity

Come out to the Starr Family Home State Historic Site for a wonderful and social evening of caroling. There is expected to be a large group this year, which will make for an even more fun time of caroling through the local neighborhoods. Festivities will begin at exactly 6 pm. John Dement, Associate Professor of Theatre at East Texas Baptist University; will present Charles Dickens, A Christmas Carol. Enjoy as Mr. Dement puts on this play all alone as he has adopted it as his own in a way where he can play every character. He is truly talented and is sure to start the evening off right by creating a wonderful Christmas atmosphere with his talented performance.

Caroling Sing-a-Long

After the play by Dement is over and the curtains lower there will be a sing-along opportunity. This will be led by the talented Amelia Blake Garner who is a musician. This is the second annual Community Christ Carol Sing-a-Long, and it will include a program with words to many popular Christmas carols that will be available to guests. There will also be hot chocolate and cookies for everyone to enjoy. If it is too cold, then all activities will be held at the Blake House.
